The service will take place at 4 PM on Sunday February 15, 2009.  The speaker for the evening will be Rev. Ricky Brown, Pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Wooster Ohio.

We are certainly looking forward to having a high time in the Lord, and we pray that you will come out and join in with us in this celebration.  We want to lift up praises to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for sustaining this branch of Zion for the 89 years of blessings that he has bestowed upon our Church.

The Second Baptist Church of Medina and the Medina County Branch of The American Association of University Women will join in an observance of Black History Month on Monday, February 23, at the church, 451 Bronson Street, Medina.

The keynote speaker of the evening will be the Judge Patricia Ann Blackmon of the 8th District Court of Appeals in Cuyahoga County.

Judge Blackmon moved to the Cleveland area when she enrolled in Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Her professional experience includes serving as Chief Prosecutor of the City of Cleveland, Assistant Director of the Victims/Witness Program, and professor at Dyke College.

Also on the evening’s program will be a presentation by Andrew Klimko from his book “And So Forth and So On” which covers the use of the current church fellowship hall by Hungarian immigrants in Medina. This was a part of his childhood and the life of his family and friends.
 
Completing the program will be contemporary music by the church choir. This is the seventh year that the church and AAUW have joined together in an educational program to observe Black History Month.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with coffee, tea, and a brief time to observe displays. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m.  The evening will also include an intermission for the serving of desserts and a social time. All are welcome, and there is no fee to attend.

(Please click on the above link)      On Sunday June 22, 2008 we will be having our annual Youth Day Service.  This year the Evangelist Arnaldo J. Torres of the Missionary Church of God Immanuel (Pentecostal) of Cleveland, Ohio will be our guest preacher and we are excited to hear what the Lord has placed on his heart. 

     Service will begin at 11:15 and our youth will be highlighted throughout the service.  

     It is our Mission to inspire and enable our youth to openly Worship and Praise the creator of all things - thereby providing them with this opportunity to have a time set aside for them to praise and celebrate the goodness of the LORD!  The word of God says - and even better - Jesus says  "Suffer not the little children to come unto me."  So we look forward to having a spiritual high time in the Lord.

     Upon the conclusion of our service, we will have a little cook-out for them along with some games to top off the day.  The day will be a dress down day so that we can all enjoy our youth together after church. 

      So come on out and join us as we show support to our youth by being in the presence of the LORD with them.  For as I always say "they are not just the youth of tommorow or the future, but they are the youth of TODAY!"
