Greetings from the congregation of Second Baptist Church! Thank you for visiting our website. As a church, we are committed to Jesus Christ and we base our teaching on God's revealed word, the Bible. It is our desire that people come to place their trust in Christ to forgive and lead them, and that they grow in their relationship with Him.
Please feel free to browse our site as often as you would like. You are also invited to share your comments with us in our guest book section or to request prayer in our prayer request section.
If you do not have a church home, we cordially invite you to worship with us! Our morning worship service begins with Devotions at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Call to Worship at 11:15 a.m. We hope to see you soon!

Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., Lent Service
Lent is the forty day period before Easter beginning on February 17 and continuing through April 3. During this time, we will remember the forty days and nights that Jesus spent alone in the wilderness being tempted by the devil and preparing for His work to come by fasting and praying. All are welcome.
On each Friday beginning February 26 through March 27, the Unity Day Committee of Second Baptist Church will hold a Fish Fry at the Church. Dinners will be served from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., and again from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The price for a fish dinner is $7.50, and includes cole slaw, french fries, bread, and dessert. Fish sandwiches are available for $3.50. For more information, please contact Deaconess Mary Springer or Trustee Rand Bailey, Unity Day co-chairpersons at (330) 722-0073.
